This is a continuation of my refund request concerning a damaged item that was opened when I picked it up from my local store. I was assured by the manager that he would handle my complaint and contact me on Monday, but he did not follow through. When I reached out to the customer service team, I was informed that I couldn't speak directly to the manager and would need to make another 15-mile trip to the store. Upon speaking to the manager, he claimed he had called me on Monday, but my call log showed no record of any call from him or the customer service team. The item to be returned was still under the desk, and I expressed to the manager that both he and the company had significantly failed in providing customer service and misled me about the phone call. If the company is satisfied with its Trustpilot ranking, it reflects poorly on their online service. The best companies demonstrate their integrity and customer service not just through sales, but in how they resolve issues, and in this case, they have clearly fallen short.
