The item arrived in a damaged box, which the courier cleverly positioned away from me at the time of delivery. The item itself was broken and non-functional. The company's policy requires me to return it to the warehouse and wait up to 14 days for inspection, followed by an additional 5 to 7 days for a replacement if they approve it. I'm quite dissatisfied; the damage should have been noticed either at the warehouse or by the delivery partner and addressed before reaching me. I certainly wouldn't recommend relying on them for gifts unless you have several weeks before the occasion, just in case something like this occurs.
