Absolutely shocking service.
Was delivered a damaged washing machine which I understand can happen. However the process in which to get this sorted and have an exchange is awful. I spent 40 minutes
on the website chat to be told i had to phone. I phoned the number to be put through to hotpoint and did a video chat to see the damage they confirmed it needed replacing and then transferred me through to curry’s. Curry’s then went through everything else again - I then got told I had to send in a video and they would evaluate it in 24 hours - got a message to phone them to discuss the results and they agreed it needed exchanging but they couldn’t do it tonight and phone back the next day. So between one online chat and 2 phone calls (over an hour) I’m no further along, I have no washing machine, I paid for next day delivery and they wouldn’t refund it even though they haven’t fulfilled the order and I’m left with a faulty washing machine sat in the middle of my small kitchen which is a safety risk to my crawling baby. Then to top it all off I asked how can I make a complaint about the service I got told there isn’t a way and no one would listen. Safe to say I would never use Curry’s again - it’s one thing to have a damaged product as that happens it’s another to make the customer spend their time trying to get it sorted.
Further to this - I spoke to them this morning they wanted me to keep the machine for a discount even though last night they told me it is likely to leak and not to use it! Offered me 10% discount then 15% I refused and said I wanted a new machine and got told it would be a
Month unless I keep the machine. So given this information I said to cancel the order refund the money and collect the machine - to which the respond was I can’t book a collection someone will be in touch but it will take up to 5 days - 5 days of waiting with a faulty washing machine in my small kitchen and no way of getting a new one put in! The man on the phone then said oh but if you choose to keep the machine it wouldn’t be an issue. So after waiting for a collection date the text came in to book one and when I went onto it it said no dates available please phone us - what an absolute joke!
After phoning them yet again I did speak to a lady in sales who actually helped and said I could choose another machine of up to 10% higher value than what I originally paid - this was never mentioned in any other phone call and she was able to arrange a delivery and collection within 2 days so clearly everything I was told was to get me to keep a faulty machine and to make it difficult to get what I paid for! The whole process took 4 hours of my time! Will never shop with curry’s again
