Bought a smart Tv from currys cambridge uk...on 27th November 2025 .opened it to use on christmas day .6 weeks later it srizedup and would not turn on or do anything. Took it back to cambridge store and wad told because it had developed a fault after 30 days...all they could offer me was a repair to see if they could fix it. I wad not happy with this...as is it my only tv and depend on my tv for my only entertainment and socialising. Now I am without a tv.... i cannot afford to buy another one....and im a DISABLED OAP LIVING IN SUPPORTED LIVING ACCOMMODATION. WHEN I TOOK THE TV BACK APPROX FEW WEEKS AGO ONE OF STAFF CAME WITH ME....THIS WAS ALL EXPLAINED TO CURRYS...AND THE DISTRESS BEING WITHOUT MY TV IN MY ROOM WOULD CAUSE ME....AS I HAVE LEARNED AT MY AGE HOW TO CHAT ONLINE .AND TO MAKE IT WORSE I CANNOT READ OR WRITE EITHER....CURRYS MANAGER I FELT WAS MOST RUDE.MY CARER IS WRITING THIS GOR ME. AND THE STAFF SHOWED CURRYS CAM RIDGE HER ID BADGE FROM THE HOME I LIVE IN...BUT THEY DID NOT CARE AND I WAS CRYING IN THE STORE...THE MANAGER KEPT LEAVING US AND WE HAD TO WAIT OVER 90 MINUTES TO GET THE MANAGER TO COME BA K TO HELP US . WHEN I BOUGHT THE TV WE WERE TOLD I GET 12 MONTHS WARRENTLY...AND SAYS THIS ON MY RECEIPT. I FELT ME AND MY CARER WERE TRESTED LIKE DIRT IN THE CURRYS STORE CAM RIDGE BUT THE CUDTIMET SERVICE MANAGER..WHO REFUSED TO EXCHANGE THE TV FOR A NEW ONE OR REFUND US. THIS IS NOT FAIR...IM NOW WITHOUT A TV...AND THEY SAID IT WILL BE A COUPLE WEEKS FOR REPAIR..THATS IF THEY CAN REPAIR THE TV....I AM CRYING ALOT AS THE SMART TV HAS OPENED UP A NEW WORLD FOR ME....I PRESS A BUTTON AND I CAN WATCH THE WILDLIFE WHICH I REALLY LOVE.THIS IS ÐISGUSTING TREATMENT OF A SEVERELY DISABLED OAP...AND NOT RIGHT...I FEEL SICK TO THINK THAT NEARLY £200.00 POUNDS I HAVE SPENT ON THIS JVC SMART TV....TO ONLY FIND OUT IT HAS A 30 DAY WARRANTY...IT HAS TAKEN ME OVER 4 YEARS TO SAVE THE MONEY TO BUY THIS TV...AND NOW I HAVE NOTHING..NO REFUND NO TV...AND WHILE WE WERE IN CURRYS CUSTOMER SERVICES LOTS OF PEOPLE CAME IN WITH FAULTU SMALL ELECTRICAL ITEMS..AND WERE TOLD THE SAME...PEOPLE WERE COMING IN WITH VERY EXPENSIVE ITEMS AND EXPENSIVE LOOKING DYSON TYPE FANS THAT HAD STOPPED WORKING....THEY LEFT THE STORE WITH VERY SAD FACES HOLDING THEIR FAULTY PURCHASES. WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW CURRYS IS GETTING AWAY WITH SELLING FAULTY GOODS....AS WE WITNESSED MANY PEOPLE COMING IN EITH SMART TV THST DID NOT TURN ON...MOST OF WHICH HAD ONLY THE TVS FOR A COUPLE WEEKS . WHAT AN EARTH IS GOUNG ON WITH CURRYS IN CAMBRIDGE. THEY REALLY DID NOT CARE IN CURRYS THE DISTRESS THEY ARE CAUSING ME...AND ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS...
