I was hacked, and I used Malwarebytes to find out if and where my info has been leaked. I saw that cutout.pro had leaked not just me, but 20 million people. It's quite disgusting to see this website leaking our data. I didn't even use it, yet my email address and password got leaked.
I recieved a report from Norton (my Antivirus) that they have leaked my Email, IP adress, whole name and password to the Dark web. Not to mention the website is trash and doesn´t even work. I´m shure that they have to steal the data and sell it, to get money because no one wants to pay for their trash service
In early 2023, their basic background remover app actually worked fine. However, the app was very basic. When the background remover failed, it threw an unhelpful error and consumed my credits. It was still ok because at least I managed to remove the background to most of my images.Fast forward to today, I paid for their most basic subscription ($5 to be exact) and the same app failed miserably. Just like before, it consumed my credits while spitting out errors. Since I was in a hurry, I moved on to another tool and asked for a refund.Kostja from the marketing department replied saying that finance department will process the refund within 14 days. I sent a chaser 2 weeks later and I was told that the refund was being processed. Well, it's been more than a month and nothing came back.I no longer want to waste my time chasing them for $5. Just know that their tool is broken, they don't care for refunds, and customer experience is sorely neglected (they haven't replied to a single comment on Trustpilot). Caveat emptor!Give cutout.pro a miss because there are many more legit background remover tools in the wild. If you're tech savvy, try rembg or backgroundremover on github. These are 100% free tools that work fast and flawlessly and on your laptop.
