When I reminded them of a 'cooling off period of 14 days', they responded, "We don't give a cooling-off period!" I replied, 'IT IS law,' and I sent a legal letter. Their response was, "As a goodwill gesture, we will forget the charge!" How many people fall for this and pay? Still, a month later, I am receiving bills and requests to reinstate my direct debit! Be very careful; a warning that this would happen is why I cancelled .
