After going through the fantastic reviews, I wholeheartedly share the enthusiasm expressed by others. Last week, I spent an amazing day at Hyde Hall with Daniel. I gained significant insight and now feel far more at ease with my camera. Daniel is incredibly approachable, and you quickly feel at ease in his presence. His extensive collection of stunning photographs truly highlights his photographic prowess! I'm eagerly anticipating joining more sessions in the future!

Booked a "know the basics day" having been gifted a Nikon D810. Before the day never realy got past the on/off button stage! I heard of shutter speed, apperature but it all sounded somewhat confusing watching youtube clips! Daniels class was professional and relaxed, "if you have a question..just ask" was in his opening introduction. We all learnt so much, what he doesn't know about photography probably isn't worth knowing. At the end of the class i can confidently say I can go out and take pictures using the different settings. Much to learn still but what a great introduction to the world of photography. Will definitely be booking future in the field workshops with Danil in the future. Thanks Dan.
I attended Daniel’s Know the Basics photography workshop on 16/10/25. It covered everything I wanted to know and more. Daniel was obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about photography. He gave very practical tips and he wanted everyone to get the most out of their experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and will certainly be booking more workshops with Daniel.
I took part in Daniel's "Know the basics" course yesterday and it was brilliant. You can see his passion for what he does oozing out. I have owned my camera for about 5 years and when I used it it was just on auto. I now feel confident to come off auto, have a bit more understanding of my camera and look forward to putting my learning into practice. It's definitely a course I recommend. I look forward to going on another of Daniel's courses in the future. Thank you Daniel
Just had a 1-2-1 session this morning with Daniel where I wanted to learn more about depth of field, and how the various camera settings interacted and worked. How I wish I had done this years ago! Daniel was absolutely brilliant, explaining the different settings in ways which were very easy to understand and comprehend, combined with practical examples of how just minor adjustments to commonly used features can have a big impact on pictures taken. As well as giving some expert guidance on how to frame ones' pictures and the impact of light, shadow etc. At last I now understand the effect of white balance, aperture, etc!A very very worthwhile session and once I've practised and got to grips with what I've learnt today will definitely be back for some of his focused workshops! This session has re-vitalised me for getting out and about with my camera and for taking better pictures. Thanks Daniel, much appreciated
Just on the train back from a London one to one with Daniel. It was a great experience lots of tips on things I knew very little about. This has given me the confidence to take better photos in the future. We also went to some incredible places to get the abstract photos I like. Thanks Daniel
Daniel’s “Learn to Control Your Camera” course was amazing. Its main objective is to get you off auto-mode - which is exactly what it’s done for me! I’ll never use it again. The course was part classroom learning and part practical learning, which was great. The course material (and practical homework) was very considered and set out in a very easy to understand way, and in a way that supports solid learning. Daniel also provided handouts with the entire presentation material on them to refer back to (and so that you don’t need to take notes and listen at the same time!). Daniel himself is clearly very passionate, very welcoming and friendly. He makes you feel completely at ease as a novice and welcomes lots of questions! His knowledge is fantastic and offers really useful 1:1 time during the practical part of the session. 100% I would recommend his workshop and am already looking into which class of his I can take next. Thank you Daniel!
