We were left stranded when we arrived for a late check in. Our booking.com account had our stay confirmed the whole time.
Although my stay at Dash Living was satisfactory and communication with the support team and the host was commendable, that's where the positives end. It has been nearly four months since I vacated the apartment, yet they still have not refunded my deposit. Initially, the company claimed there was an error in the invoice that needed correction or that I had not provided sufficient information—clearly delaying the process deliberately. Now, they are not responding to any of my emails.
BAD experience with DASH LIVING!!!Been followed up with a room almost 2 weeks and Viewing Appointment booked, but end up 1 hour before the appointment I was told the room was taken. Anyhow they just simply rented out the room without priority your interest.Very Bad and Poor Service!!!!Please AVOID if possible!!!
First of all they were dishonest with us. The landlord did not renewed the contract with them so they kicked us out of the apartment during our stay in Singapore without helping us to find a new flat. But the worst is that it has been 4 months now and they still haven’t not give us our deposit back.
Avoid Dash if you possibly can. This place is built as a money-grabbing system rather than caring for its residents. Here’s a summary of my horrendous experience: • Dirty on Arrival: The apartment was filthy when I arrived. My cloth turned dark brown after wiping the bathroom floor, it was disgusting. The safe was locked, so I couldn’t use it, and the windows were insecure because the latch was broken. To be fair, they did fix this after a week (thankfully, Singapore is safe, so my possessions were okay). • Looks Over Functionality: The apartment was made to look good rather than be functional. The windows are so thin that every noise from the street comes right into the apartment. The plumbing in the ensuite is poorly done, leading to terrible smells depending on what other residents have eaten. The newly inserted wall is paper-thin, so you can hear everything from the other rooms, including things you don’t wish to hear. • Ant Infestation: The whole apartment was infested with ants. I had to throw away my cereal the next day because hundreds of ants had made their way inside the packet. Ants crawling around were commonplace. When I complained, I was simply told to take out the rubbish more frequently. Ridiculous. • Unjustified Deposit Deductions: They took 3/4 of my deposit, claiming extra fees such as utility charges and additional rental days that I didn’t stay for. I was told utilities were capped at SGD 80, which should be enough. However, each month I was charged an additional SGD 300 for utilities! Absurd. I only used the air conditioning for a maximum of 4 hours a day. • Money-Grabbing Tactics: They decided it was okay to charge an extra 3% for rent because some months have 31 days. I agreed to a monthly rental amount. Some months have 30 days, and some have 31, it averages out. This is just another way to grab more money.I’ve stayed in similar types of accommodation across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai, and I’ve never experienced such poor quality, service, and blatant lies. Dash is the worst of the worst. Avoid them if you can!
I stayed for almost 6 weeks at Dash on Hollywood in HK in Oct/Nov 2023. Poor quality and weeny apartment for an excessive price. Walls are very thin, you hear neighbour talking as if they were standing in front of your door. Very bad insulation of rooms (shower and toilet flushing of neighbours) and windows (noise from the street despite of being located in a relatively quiet barrio). No thorough cleaning of the apartment floor, room service is limited to once a week towel and linen change. I had to claim service one occasions because they didn't come. But the worst is, they keep your deposit for weeks before returning it (I haven't received mine yet). Very likely they earn interest on your money for months and keeping it for a further period although you already checked-out and no damage was detected. In other words they are working with your money, apart from the horrendous fees that they charge anyway. Some of staff members were very friendly, this is why I gave at least 2 stars. But do yourself a favour and look for an accommodation elsewhere.
