My old Defence Discount account had lapsed and I wanted to see whether I was eligible for a new one. As a retired MoD Civil Servant of 40 years standing I was hoping that I could but John explained why that is not currently possible with the rules set by the MoD. Realising my frustration, John informed me that I was now eligible for a Blue Light card and duly took me through that application process.
