I deeply regret purchasing a $600 lamp from Dekorfine. While their website clearly states a 30-day return policy with no need to provide a reason (as long as the item is in original packaging), the company has refused to honor it in good faith.Upon requesting a return shortly after receiving the item — well within the 30-day window — I was met with a condescending and evasive response suggesting that I simply try the lamp in a different space or resell it locally. They implied that because the item was shipped from Asia, I should avoid returning it altogether due to "high shipping costs." This is not mentioned anywhere in their advertised return policy.When I insisted on returning the item as per their own posted rules, they reluctantly sent me a return address — in China — with a completely new and arbitrary 5-day deadline to ship it out ('Return Requirements: Please ship the package within 5 days of receiving this return authorization. If the package is not shipped within this timeframe, we will consider it as your decision to keep the item, and the return request may be canceled.'). This sudden and fabricated time limit is nowhere in their return policy and is clearly meant to deter returns by any means necessary.Further, they asked me to label the package with a false declared value of $10 to avoid customs issues, which is highly unethical and potentially illegal.Their communications felt dismissive and manipulative, and it’s clear this company has no intention of honoring its stated commitments. Instead, they rely on international logistics and vague excuses to discourage returns and trap customers.If you're considering buying from Dekorfine, do so at your own risk. You may be stuck with an expensive item you don’t want and a company that hides behind shady practices to avoid accountability.I will be filing a formal complaint with U.S. authorities, as they are operating in the U.S. market and must abide by consumer protection laws.
