I ordered groceries from Sainsbury’s. Over 2 hours later the driver from deliveroo knocked my door and said that when he went to get my order another delivery person had picked it up. So I asked him why he came if he did not have the groceries he then asked for the delivery no, which I gave him thinking it would help to get my groceries. He kept saying the groceries were on the way. He said I should call Sainsbury’s - they said they took no responsibility and I should call Deliveroo. Deliveroo were adamant they would take no responsibility as I gave the code to the driver and they were of not going to do anything even though they knew who the thief, Khalid, was. Customer service provided a very frustrating and unpleasant interaction! Needless to say I will never use them in the future. Too many people have had a bad experience with them. They need to be prevented from doing business. Stealing is against the law!
