Depop is the new Pinterest: there are a few likes and some lowball offers that, nine times out of ten, come from bored teenagers who place offers without any real interest in buying and then ignore your messages because they feel too entitled to care. Depop is like having a museum; you create listings knowing that, because you don’t have a stereotypical body, you don’t feel the urge to show yourself half-naked, The algorithm relegates your listings back into the abyss. It’s you, not me. These are the unknown changes made after Etsy bought Depop, which has turned it into a pathetic imitation of Vinted, where cheap is chic, buyers expect to pay crumbles or they pass and sellers have to accept everything from potential buyers, otherwise, you hear crickets. I have items that gained hundreds of likes on Vinted and sold within two days, but the same item received only 1 or 2 likes on Depop. I have been a top seller twice. What the hell are you doing over there to bury sellers? It’s disgusting. And the fact that you charge 12% of the sale for any visibility with your boosting is even more ridiculous.
