Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience with DHL.
I made multiple attempts to cancel my shipment on the same day it was sent from Egypt, contacting DHL Egypt between 7 PM and 9 PM, but received absolutely no response.
The next day, I was initially informed that the shipment was still in Egypt and could be canceled. However, within minutes, I received another call claiming that the shipment had already arrived in the UAE — a clear contradiction.
To make matters worse, DHL UAE confirmed that the shipment was still in Egypt at that time, which proves there is serious misinformation and lack of coordination between DHL teams.
Despite my early cancellation request, DHL refused to take responsibility and instead:
- Forced me to deal with customs charges
- Refused any refund
- Denied any fault from their side
This behavior is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about transparency and integrity. It feels like a clear case of taking advantage of customers while avoiding accountability.
I attempted to resolve this issue professionally, but was met with dismissive and unhelpful responses.
I strongly advise others to reconsider using DHL if you expect clear communication, honesty, and fair treatment.
Very disappointing experience.
