My husband and I visited a Diamonds International store in St. Maarten during our Royal Caribbean cruise and purchased a Rolex watch for $25,000. Before finalizing the purchase, we specifically asked about their return policy. The store manager, Amit, assured us that we could return the watch at any Diamonds International location in the United States if needed. However, upon returning home, we discovered that the receipt had a “FINAL SALE” stamp—which was not visible at the time of signing. It appears this stamp was added afterward, effectively voiding any right to return or exchange the item. This was a clear misrepresentation and deceptive business practice. We are deeply disappointed and want to warn other travelers and cruise passengers to be extremely cautious when making high-value purchases at Diamonds International. Always double-check your receipts before signing and record or document all assurances made by sales staff.
