I applied for a credit card and was approved. After receiving the card, I attempted to use it weeks later, but it was denied. When I contacted customer support, I learned my account was closed due to an inability to verify my personal information. I inquired why I wasn't informed and was told a letter was sent on October 23 and an email on October 24. I never received the letter, and the email I got only highlighted the benefits of the card, not the account closure. I maintain a credit score over 800 and have no reason to misrepresent information. I don’t understand why there was no effort to contact me for verification. As the title suggests: A disastrous experience.
