I subscribed to the cheapest Disney+ plan, fully aware that it includes ads. Fine, what I did not sign up for is an endless psychological endurance test disguised as streaming.
The ads are not just frequent; they are aggressively repetitive. Same ads over and over again. At some point, it stops feeling like advertising and starts feeling like punishment. I now know the Taylor Swift series exists. I knew that after the first 47 times. I know it after the next 200 times too.
The length of the ads deserves special mention. They don’t feel long, they are long. Long enough to question life choices and whether pressing “play” was a mistake. And just when you think you’re done? Surprise. The same identical ad. Same pacing. Same cuts. Same forced enthusiasm. Again.

There is something uniquely irritating about being shown the exact same Taylor Swift ad so often that it starts to feel personal, like Disney+ is staring directly at me saying, “You will watch this. You will remember this. You will suffer.”

This isn’t variety. This isn’t tolerable. This is ad-loop hell. If the goal was to annoy users into either upgrading or abandoning the platform entirely, mission accomplished.

Five stars for consistency, zero stars for sanity.

Horrible experience, buggy and lots of ads

To begin with, my experience was just horrible. On the bright side, I like the collection of sci-fi and fantasy movies and shows. However, this is the only positive point I can give. The app is oftentimes very buggy. I.e. the audio of an already watched episode still keeps playing while I am watching a new episode. I can only fix this by completely closing the app and restarting it. Its also something that seems to be happening regularly. Now, what bothers me the most are the ads. Generally, it seems like for a normal 40 min episode, there are supposed to be three instances where a sequence of ads is being played. However, sometimes when I want to go back a few seconds while watching an episode, it randomly starts playing a sequence of ads again. After this, sometimes it can also happen that the whole episodes suddenly starts again from the beginning, which of course means that I have to watch the beginning ad of the episode once more.In conclusion, I am very unsatisfied with my experience of warching disney+, and I can recommend anyone reading this comment, that they should rather search on an alternative platform for a specific movie/show instead of using disney+. Im also a person who very rarely writes any reviews at all, but due to all the mentioned negative moments, I was forced to write it down here.

Promised 4K playback on PC is not…

Promised 4K playback on PC is not available – only 1080p. Customer support is unhelpful. Not a fair offer → I canceled my subscription.

TV app just not worth it

Not a lot to see on the paid for channel app, plus it's now incompatible with my IPad IOS and they make it very difficult to cancel the account. There is a "delete account" function but that doesn't stop the monthly subscription

DISNEY+ andLa Liga

Disney+ advertised with great fanfare they had secured rights to some La Liga games. As an avid follower of La Lia I signed up. Waste of time, tried to watch Barcelona v Levante couldn't get into the live stream. Spent an hour and half on the phone to Disney Tech. At the end a woman operator told me they do not live stream games at tge moment. So they lied. I had to keep calling as nothing worked four different people, three cut me off when they realised nothing worked. Be asking for compensation. Don't sign up it's useless

Forget the whole mantra of "if buying…

Forget the whole mantra of "if buying isn't owning, then piracy isnt stealing", if you buy something and die to negligence and a company tries to take away your family rights to hold them accountable, pirating their stuff becomes an ethical obligation.

Disney is very sneaky(You cant sue)

DO NOT sign up for disney plus, there's a clause (that you'll accept) that doesnt allow you to sue Disney if something happens to you or your loved ones at their amuesment park/world. Please look up the case of the husband whose trying to sue Disney for his wife and cannot because he signed up for a Disney Plus subscription. "Signing up for Disney+ means its subscribers can't sue"
