We moved into a flat over christmas that was in a terrible state- filthy floors and oily stains all over the walls. The flat clearly had not had a second spent on it to refresh the decorarion, or even do the most basic cleaning. Despite this Dj Alexander agreed that the flat was excellently clean on the initial inventory. They accepted it wasn't clean at all after we sent clear proof (over 100 photos, to give you a sense of the scale of the problems). Despite this, they have since refused to take any action despite agreing that the flat needed painted and plastered ,as well as fully cleaned. We have been in over for over 6 weeks now, paid thousands in rent, but the same problems are still present. DJ Alexander are now essentially refusing to do any of the works that they intitially agreed were required. The flat doesn't even have interconnected smoke alarms, which has been a matter of law for years now.
I deeply regret taking on a flat managed by DJ Alexander. They say yes to whatever the landlord says, with no concern for what is right or fair to tenants. All they care about is getting paid. If you have any other option than DJ Alexander then take it, I honestly can't think of a way in which they could be worse.
