We had a reservation for a Santa experience with a scheduled time of 11:50. Arriving 10 minutes early, we were shocked to see around 50 people ahead of us in a queue that wrapped halfway around the store and barely moved. After waiting 15 minutes, we approached customer service and learned they were running behind due to delays with previous customers. We were told to simply wait, with no one monitoring the queue or providing updates on the situation. After over 30 minutes, we spoke to others at the front who had been waiting for more than an hour. The grotto had only opened at 10:30, so the reason for the long delay was unclear. We returned to customer service and were offered a refund, which we accepted but have not yet received. We left feeling disheartened, especially with a very upset 3-year-old. It's disappointing how poorly this was handled, and I advise future customers to be cautious.
