Doctor on Demand dropped therapist without communicating with clients

I was using Doctor on Demand for online counseling. I received an email on 2/17 that my therapist would not be available starting 2/7, so I contacted them via chat (the only contact option) to ask about my upcoming appointment, and what it means that they're 'unavailable'. They responded that my appointment had not been canceled, and directed me to a phone number to call for scheduling issues, but did not respond to repeated questions on what it means that my therapist is unavailable.During my appointment, I mentioned this to my therapist; they get frustrated that DoD has disseminated an unclear message to her clients, and tells me that even though they have been with DoD for a year, suddenly DoD doesn't like the type of license she has, and has told them that their going to be let go, but given them no timeline. My therapist could not therefore give me a timeline on how long she would be allowed to continue seeing me, but they anticipated, since DoD had talked to them about continuity of care, that DoD would give them a final timeline that would allow them to have at least one wrap up appointment with each client, to help them figure out how to move forward with care. Less than a week later, my follow up appointment has been canceled, with no communication from DoD on what that means. When I went to the DoD website, my therapist is still listed on the website, but with no availability; under the calendar in small writing is a notice that appointment availability is always variable, and I can check back later to see if there's more availability. DoD has at no point communicated that my therapist will be leaving, or that I can no longer see them through DoD. This is incredibly frustrating, as someone who is in the middle of working through traumatic events I really would prefer not to start over.Additionally, the DoD platform is just very poor. There is no ability to message your care team, there is no place for your care team to message you, or any way for them to provide after-visit summaries. This is abysmal patient care.
