If you value logic or customer service, stay far away from DoYouSpain. Just a few days before our holiday, they informed me the rental car desk (Drivalia) would be closed upon arrival at Alicante Airport. Their agent, offered me a choice: cancel or take a taxi to our accommodation (in La Manga, over 100km from Alicante Airport) and return the next morning to collect the car, promising a refund for taxi expenses.
I pointed out that taxis would cost them approximately €300 for a round-trip and take up valuable family holiday time - 90 minutes travel each way, meaning unnecessarily travelling four and a half hours with two children. I offered a much cheaper alternative: I would rebook a different car myself if they simply covered the €40 price difference given the prices had increased since my original booking. Despite multiple emails explaining that my solution saved them €260 and us valuable time, a "win-win", the agent refused to deviate from their script, essentially forcing me to rebook at a higher rate to avoid ruining our family holiday.
In February, another agent acknowledged the mess and promised a resolution. Since then? Ghosted.
They have failed to honour their "Price Guarantee" and have failed to reimburse the price difference caused by their own scheduling error. They are a broker that takes no responsibility when things go wrong. Absolute shambles.
