I rent a car for affordable price but guess what? Through the booking session they never mention that you have to pay 30 eur fee for fueling the car !? The car who is always full when you pick it up from the previous client !!!
I was so surprised that they charge you something which is not existing at all!!
The guy on the desk told me that they are doing this all the time just to make extra profit

Paid for a car through DoYouSpain from Barcelona airport, from Thrifty. Had dozens of trips here but this was by far the worst experience. The money I paid DYS was then tripled at the desk, the £85 plus insurance merely a deposit. The car was dirty outside and in, I was charged an extortionate refuel fee and had to take out seperate excess insurance on top. Never again will I use either company.
It's my first time hiring a car and so easy to do it on the application but certain things are not yet clear to me. I took the full cover and I'm hoping that there would be no more hidden charges then I paid for.
STAY AWAY!!! Our flight was delayed for several hours, causing us to arrive too late to pick up as scheduled. When we called to reschedule for the next day, we were informed that this was not allowed! We had just paid for a full week in advance. We were told that we must collect on the specified day and time, or the entire week's rental would be canceled with no refund! This is outrageous. If your flight is delayed or even if your baggage is held up, tough luck. It's a complete scam. Now we have to pay exorbitant prices for a last-minute rental or risk being stranded at our remote accommodation for the entire week. Very dissatisfied.
We arranged a car rental for pick-up at a major airport, but the vehicle was never delivered. Upon our arrival, we were contacted through a messaging app by a local subcontractor. The representative's communication was rude, insulting, and even threatening, using phrases like, 'I don’t have to deal with you' and 'You are lucky I am speaking politely, otherwise I know what to say to you.' This behavior was completely unacceptable and left us feeling harassed and unsafe at the airport. Even though a refund was eventually processed, it does not excuse the subcontractor's conduct. We have documented all messages exchanged. We strongly recommend that other customers exercise caution when booking with this supplier at this location.
Terrible Experience — Mismanagement and Unprofessionalism When I arrived at the rental car agency to collect my vehicle, they claimed my driving license was not valid. This was entirely incorrect. I had already completed the renewal process and had a doctor’s certification allowing me to drive until the new card arrived. I was legally authorized to drive — the issue stemmed from their miscommunication and lack of understanding. I was in a hurry, but I did everything I could to resolve the matter. I contacted the relevant institution, the offices, and even the local motor vehicle department, all of whom confirmed that my documents were legally valid. Nonetheless, the agency still refused to provide me with the car. Due to their incompetence, I had to book another vehicle with a different agency — and they accepted my documents right away. At the same time, the original agency promised me a refund. But to my surprise, the money was still deducted from my account. When I reached out to the rental company, they directed me to contact a third party for my refund. Upon calling, the customer service representative was extremely unhelpful. She insisted I wouldn’t receive a refund because I didn’t present the physical license — even after I explained that the renewal document was valid and confirmed by the agency. There was simply no reasoning with her. This isn’t just about the money — it’s about the unfairness of the situation. Each country has its own driving-license renewal rules, and customer support should be aware of this. Instead, I encountered incompetence, disrespect, and a total lack of professionalism. I am at a loss for words. The entire experience was unacceptable, and I will never rent from them again. Completely appalled. :(
This feels like a misleading operation. They advertise affordable rentals, but you end up paying a hefty commission to secure a vehicle from an independent dealer. Upon arrival at the rental site, you're confronted with their full pricing. Additionally, avoid their premium insurance.
