I'm often on nights, which makes receiving parcels in the day a bit awkward. The courier kindly followed my note and gave me a few moments (And a few rings of the doorbell) to allow me to wake up and accept the delivery, avoiding the hassles of re-booking or collecting my item from the depot. This is the way it should always be done, and the computers which plan routes/rounds need to always allow at least 2-3 minutes for each drop. It's only a small window of time, but it really makes all the difference. Bravo!
