Since last year, I've attempted to use various parcel delivery services in France. I paid €350 in cash to a service because another company could not assure the delivery of my parcel, even after I had already paid them for the same amount and additional penalties. The service promised to deliver my parcel to the UK for €350 but was halted by the police for driving with an expired license and subsequently arrested. The authorities in Coulommiers, where the parcel is held, demanded €300 from me, and the delivery service asked for another €200 for transport from France to the UK. Now, I find myself being blackmailed again. I am unsure of the legal steps to take, especially considering that these individuals seem indifferent to the law. Without funds, my parcel remains in custody at the police station. Who should I report this to? There is no clear procedure or compliance, and refunds are not issued even when the situation is not your fault. If the parcel is not delivered on time, you are penalized. In the UK, a similar parcel would cost a maximum of £15, but in France, there seems to be no cap.
