750w submersible pump (with integrated switch).I do wonder about Draper's product design, and also how much product testing (if any) is done.I wanted a pump for a sump hole, and one with an integrated switch was ideal to pump out shallow water (a type with float switch on the end of half a metre of cable would be useless).Draper pump is in a concrete hole. It pumped out water in hole 3 times......then the float STUCK (permanently on and running dry). There are no obstructions what so ever in the hole. I jiggle the pump (and so rattle the switch), and the motor switches off. It will then work again a few times before getting stuck again.The pump cannot be left unattended for more than 10 minutes, and is not fit for purpose, as a (manufacturer's claim) automatic pump.A message to Draper's quality control and product design people: "DO YOUR JOB!".
