I bought a used fazer 1000 of them. Described as perfect and recently serviced and mot by them. Paid top money for what was supposed to be a good one. On the ride home and up onto the first dual carriageway about 2 miles from the shop, opened it up and no power at all. I pulled up at the first service area and called them. The owner firstly said I had no idea what I was talking about, me who has owned over fifty bikes in my 35 years of riding. Then he changed tact and told me I bought it as a trade sale? What ever that is? Then I asked to return the bike straight to them for my money back, he got aggressive and refused. I was going to return it to them to fix, but after talking to my local mechanic Pgb of high wycombe, he knew exactly what the problem was. Turned out to be a seized exup valve, simple repair for him. He inspected the bike as well and found seized rear brake calliper, defective front tyre. After spending £200 on fixing it, I have not got the attachment you get when you love a ride. So I am not going to keep it. Drayton Croft want your money, that’s it. They have no care for you, your safety, your peace of mind, or after sales care. It’s your money, please spend it somewhere else for your own good. Dealers like this should not be involved in motorbikes, after all it’s your life not theirs.
