We had a home built by DR Horton in 2021 in North Ft Myers Florida. We liked the area where the homes were being built, and the model home was beautiful. We hired an inspector to do the walkthrough since we live in another state. The inspector found issues in the home, but items on the list seemed to be easily addressed. Once we came to Florida for the winter, and settled in we started submitting warranty via Hortons website based of inspection list. The warranty department and their vendors are not on top of it at all. The vendors never call to set appointments up for repairs, or if they did set a date & Time they never showed up. Here we are 1 1/2 years later, and seems as though Horton doesn't want to be bothered and fix the last 2 items on the warranty list. Nonetheless, they're not a quality builder period! They hire help that doesn't know what they're doing and they do sloppy work.The walls aren't even remotely close to being level, interior doors were bowed, we have 2 different colors of grout in the tile floors' grout cracked in the spare bathroom, Sliding door wasn't in right, and bugs coming in from outside the top and bottom of sliding door, bathtub had a rusted bottom, and tub was scratched which I assume the contractors were cleaning their tools in the bathtub, or the tub was simply a used tub, and broken dining room windowIf you haver high expectations you're not going to find it with this builder. Fortunately, in our community we had the least of the problems, and many homes were worse than ours. All I can say is run away from this builder, and research & INVEST your hard earned money in a builder who cares about quality not QUANTITY.
