Bought a home in 2016 near Chicago from D.R. Horton (Cambridge), and had very few issues! Moved to Tennessee, near Johnson City, and bought my Second D.R. Horton Home in 2022. CAUTION! D.R. Horton here is not the same as in the North! Too many issues! Plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, even a cracked window! It appears D.R. Horton has lost their direction and no longer cares about the final product - just the money! Although they have a warranty department - Most of these issues should have been discovered, and CORRECTED long before closing! When inexperienced drywallers do not possess the knowledge to hide seams and leave huge bulges in the walls, it is unacceptable. Combine this with ghost doors (they close themselves) poor wiring, drains that burp, the worst final landscaping in the world, trim that has protruding but painted-over nails, and shower glass which is falling from the frame - the jury is in! Repair crews can't speak English, which goes to prove who is being hired at LOW PAY, and as we all know - you get what you pay for! Unfortunately for others and myself - WE paid Top Dollar to pay for a home built by construction imbeciles!
