Nope. Booked and paid for including all of the insurances before we left Australia. When we picked up the car, despite having all of the licenses, passport etc, couldn’t hire it until we came up with a physical credit card in the driver’s name. Couldn’t even amend the booking to the person with a credit card. Felt horribly backed into a corner and forced to pay non-refundable £330 or would lose the car (and I guess the amount we had already paid to hire it) Very difficult and it really stung. Unclear terms and vague wording in the multiple page long contract (which I read) and no way to work around the issue except pay the extra just because we didn’t have a physical credit card. I always thought not having a credit card made smart financial sense. So gutted this was the start of our holiday. So unimpressed and will be letting the travel agent know not to book with these guys. Best to stick with a company with more transparency or has more than a “pay this large amount of money or don’t take the car” policy.
