My husband and I were a part of the 3 month NewMe program.
I had been an overweight person as far as I could remember.
My BMI literally exploded as it reached 40. Slowly as I entered mid 30s, I started having back ache, heel pain and foot pain, was unable to walk for sometime even if it was for shopping or fun activities.
I had zero energy even during vacation/trips.
I had severe vitamin B, D and iron deficiency which I was unaware of.
I was a pre diabetic, my fasting sugar levels were constantly 3 digit figure.. always 100+..
Joining the NewMe was the best decision ever! Initially I struggled a lot with no weight change or inch loss, but once I started working on my consistency, the magic happened.!!
Visible inch loss, weight loss happened. The happiness while seeing the scale moving down is really exciting. And the greatest happiness was to fit into old clothes. I used to wear 2XL and now I could fit into L !!
My husband was not overweight, but still he had excessive fat in the tummy and bad food habits which made him slowly gain weight.
Together we used to thrive on instant foods and fast food items... Maggi twice or thrice a month or even more frequently, Parotta, packaged chips, XYZ and what not everything!
We literally killed our gut and organs with so much bad food.
We really understand the importance and benefits of gut friendly foods Only after being into this program.
Now, after losing 10 kgs, physically and mentally, we are feeling very much better. We are now more healthy and happy!
Thanks to our coach Afilah! She has never said no to any food we log. She will only explain the disadvantages of it and how we can make it more healthy! This way, it was easy for us to adapt and make changes.
Recently, we even did our first marathon together! Never in my life have I imagined that I would run in a marathon!
We no more crave for unhealthy foods, cravings completely reduced. Urge to eat food without hunger is zero now. No indulgence in midnight binge eating. We are really experiencing a NewMe!
