Like so many others I would give zero stars if I could! I waited 15 months and decided that was long enough. Same as everyone else here, they keep telling you lies about the date your items will be available. They don't contact you ever to give an update or explanation of what the hold up is. You have to keep chasing them and if you're lucky enough to get a response, it will be some generic answer saying something like "rest assured you will be one of the first people to own this product. "
I placed my order in November 2024 and was told it would arrive after Christmas. Then it was changed to after winter. I contacted them yet again only to be told they have no control of when the publishers will release the items. I questioned how they could keep updating my order then with random dates or seasons! The last date I was given was February 28th which of course came and went so I contacted them again but this time said I wanted a full refund as it was now 15 months since placing my order. They refused but offered a store credit to which I said no thank you as I don't trust that anything I order would ever be delivered. Then they had the audacity to tell me off for wasting their time as they are a small family business!!!
I replied with "I feel we are going around in circles here so I think my best option now is to contact consumer affairs to see what my options are. "Within 5 minutes I received an email from PayPal explaining that my full refund from dvdland would be credited to my account within 2 business days. To my delight it actually worked and I got my money back!
Dvdland then sent me another email saying as a gesture of goodwill they had decided to refund my money and that they were not obligated to do so.
Absolute disgrace of a company and I strongly urge everyone to NEVER buy from this company
