I traded my vehicle on 31st October 2025, yet three more direct debits have been taken from my account, totaling £200, even though the car's tax status shows it as untaxed from 1st November. I chatted with an agent who was helpful and escalated the cancellation of the direct debit (I didn't do this myself as advised online), but I was told it could take up to 6 weeks for a refund. If the situation were reversed and I owed road tax, I doubt I could say, 'I'll pay you in up to 6 weeks.'
