On April 8th, I purchased a flight ticket to Fukuoka, Japan, for a total amount of £929. The payment was successfully processed through my credit card, and I received confirmation of the booking.
However, less than 24 hours later, I was contacted by one of your representatives, who informed me that I would be required to pay an additional £286 in order to proceed with my flight. I was also told that, if I refused to make this payment, I would lose the entire amount already paid, as the ticket is non-refundable.
This situation is completely unacceptable.
First, I completed the booking in good faith, based on the price presented at the time of purchase. Second, I am being asked to make an additional payment through a highly suspicious email channel, with no guarantee of legitimacy or confirmation that my booking will be secured afterward.
Furthermore, your website currently shows my ticket (both outbound and return flights) as “pending,” while your representative claims this is related to the airline. This lack of transparency and contradictory information raises serious concerns.
I would like to make it absolutely clear that:
I do not accept this additional charge.
I consider this practice misleading and potentially fraudulent.
I expect my booking to be honored under the originally agreed terms, or a full refund to be issued immediately.
Please provide a clear and official explanation of this situation, along with a proper resolution, as soon as possible.
If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no option but to escalate the issue through my credit card provider and report this case to the relevant consumer protection authorities.
I look forward to your urgent response.
