# ⭐ **Easirent Las Vegas – Extremely Deceptive and Stressful Experience (October 2025)**

I rented a vehicle from Easirent’s **Las Vegas location** for one week in **October 2025**, and the experience was by far the most frustrating and misleading rental process I’ve ever encountered.

### **1. Bait‑and‑Switch Pricing**
The price shown on their website was **hundreds of dollars lower** than what I was charged at pickup. Once I arrived, the staff informed me that because I would be driving into a neighboring state, the price would **increase by $800**. This was never disclosed during booking.

### **2. Pressure to Buy Their Insurance**
I planned to use my own auto insurance, but the branch manager reviewed my policy and claimed it didn’t cover tires or the windshield. Because of that, I was told I had to leave a **$1,000 “refundable” deposit** unless I purchased their insurance. It felt like a tactic to force customers into buying add‑ons.

### **3. Wrongful Damage Claim**
Thankfully, I took detailed photos of the car at pickup and return. When I brought the car back, I specifically pointed out that there was **no new damage**, and the staff acknowledged it.

Despite that, at the end of October I discovered that Easirent had **withheld my $1,000 deposit**, claiming “windshield damage.” When I disputed it, they demanded proof from me—which I provided immediately. When I asked for *their* evidence, they had none. They simply said the inspector “marked” damage.

### **4. Three‑Month Battle to Get My Refund**
In early November, they agreed the deposit should be refunded but said it needed “regional manager approval.” That became the standard excuse for **over three months**. I had to follow up **at least 10 times** via phone and their website between November 2025 and February 9, 2026. Only then did they finally return the deposit.

### **5. Overall Impression**
This experience left me with the strong impression that:

- **They advertise low prices to lure customers in, then dramatically increase the cost at pickup.**
- **If you decline their insurance, they use the deposit system to hold your money hostage.**
- **They make it extremely difficult to recover deposits, even when you have clear evidence.**

### **Recommendation**
I strongly recommend avoiding Easirent. The combination of deceptive pricing, aggressive insurance tactics, and unjustified deposit withholding makes this company feel **untrustworthy and predatory**. There are plenty of reputable rental companies—save yourself the stress and choose one of them instead.
