Actually the worst council in the UK and really needs to be investigated!!! Took a year to band my house then had the cheek to send me a backdated council tax bill on top of the current years bill. As a single mum I was and still am really really struggling financially…. No help from ERYC at all… if your behind they take you to court asap and then have a attachment of earnings out on your wage over Nov/Dec/Jan, you know the time when people are really struggling and don’t need that kind of negativity in their lives. I have £1600 a month coming in and £2300 trying to go out with £500 of that going to ERYC or they are sending the bailiffs round…. This would be perfect if I actually had carpets and furniture in my house for them to take instead I’ve now fallen behind on other household bills… my kids are going cold but hey as long at the chair person get her £100,000 bonus/wage a year who the flip cares!!!! Not ERYC anyway!!! Vile people!!!! Vile council!!! They need to seriously be investigated and retrained to help and support people when they are suffering and begging for help not threatening them!!!
