I would avoid booking with EasyJet again. The extremely elevated prices even for cabin baggage meant I spent more money sending one checked bag and one cabin from Inverness to London than I did getting myself to and from. I was aware of Easy Jets reputation for poor customer service but it was difficult to witness it live, particularly towards elderly passengers. Across multiple flights with EasyJet in a 5-week period on every occasion I witnessed elderly passengers being asked to prove their visibly small bags could fit in the compartment. I watched them struggle, out of breath, lifting their bags in and out of metal compartments with absolutely no assistance from staff (we helped as fellow passengers). I watched them allow people through security with their bags and then turn away elderly people from their flights at boarding whose bags were significantly smaller than other passengers but some had a different shape that made it hard to manoeuvre in the display. The staff were ruthless, provided no physical assistance and no empathy for very visibly distressed and physically out of breath paying and vulnerable customers. Practically, I would not ever choose this service again for travel for my needs and budget and morally I would not fund them through my service after their treatment of vulnerable passengers and passengers more broadly.
