I use Easy Live Auction regularly to acquire items for my business and have experienced this issue before, but this is the first time it has happened when my lots were about to come up on a live auction.
The way the site works is that you log into the main website first. When you click to enter a live auction, it opens in a separate pop-up window where the bidding takes place.
During a recent auction, while I was logged into the main website and actively bidding through the live pop-up window, the pop-up crashed. I had to close it and return to the main website in order to reopen the live auction link.
However, when I got back to the main website, I discovered I had been automatically logged out. This meant that when I tried to re-enter the live auction, I was no longer authenticated and had to log back into the main website first, then click into the auction again to generate a new pop-up window before I could resume bidding.
This happened while a live auction was still ongoing and had only been running for around two hours. Being logged out during an active sale creates unnecessary stress and a real risk of missing lots, especially when timing is critical.
There appears to be no option to remain logged in for a longer period, For a platform hosting live auctions, session stability should be a priority. Logging users out of the main website while a live auction are still in progress is a serious usability flaw that needs addressing
