Review Time
I use Easy Live Auction regularly to acquire items for my business and have experienced this issue before, but this is the first time it has happened when my lots were about to come up on a live auction.
The way the site works is that you log into the main website first. When you click to enter a live auction, it opens in a separate pop-up window where the bidding takes place.
During a recent auction, while I was logged into the main website and actively bidding through the live pop-up window, the pop-up crashed. I had to close it and return to the main website in order to reopen the live auction link.
However, when I got back to the main website, I discovered I had been automatically logged out. This meant that when I tried to re-enter the live auction, I was no longer authenticated and had to log back into the main website first, then click into the auction again to generate a new pop-up window before I could resume bidding.
This happened while a live auction was still ongoing and had only been running for around two hours. Being logged out during an active sale creates unnecessary stress and a real risk of missing lots, especially when timing is critical.
There appears to be no option to remain logged in for a longer period, For a platform hosting live auctions, session stability should be a priority. Logging users out of the main website while a live auction are still in progress is a serious usability flaw that needs addressing
I have been using the platform for years and have generally enjoyed it. Earlier in 2025, I purchased a lot from an auction house and unfortunately faced a family emergency, preventing me from collecting the (£10) lot by the required deadline. I reached out to explain my situation and requested to collect it early the following week. However, the staff I spoke with were completely unsympathetic, informing me that I would be banned from future auctions and flagged as a non-payer. I found this response to be unreasonable and discourteous, but ultimately it is their business. I am frustrated to discover that being marked as a non-payer means that new auction houses on the platform will not approve me for future auctions. This is detrimental to my business during a crucial time of year. I have never encountered issues with any auction house before, and I can no longer endorse the platform since they provided no assistance in resolving the matter.
I used the platform for years and enjoyed it. Earlier in 2025, I purchased a lot from an auction house and faced a family emergency, preventing me from collecting the (£10) lot on time. I called to explain my situation and offered to come the following week to pay and collect. Unfortunately, the staff were unsympathetic and informed me that I would be banned from future auctions and flagged as a non-payer. This felt unreasonable and rude, but I understand it's their business. Being flagged has now impacted my ability to participate in new auctions, which is detrimental to my business during a crucial time. I've never had issues with any auction house before and can no longer recommend the platform as they provided no assistance in resolving this matter.
I feel compelled to leave this review after seeing some complaints. If bidders took the time to read the terms and conditions for each auction, many of these issues could be avoided. Each auction has specific shipping procedures and charges. We provide quotes that bidders can choose to accept or reject. It's important to remember that we have expenses to cover and prefer bidders to collect items or arrange their own couriers. Regarding the auctioneer's awareness of bids, that's the nature of an auction. Some reviews here seem illogical; you can't hold the platform accountable for the auction's rules. Read them before bidding, and if you disagree, consider not participating. Auctions involve second-hand items, often with faults, so it's best to view them in person.
I was charged £11.29 for packing and posting a small item, which I find outrageous. The item was simply bubble-wrapped and shipped in a small box. The auction details included various fees, and the total came to £28.07, which I feel is excessive for what I received. The shipping cost alone for such a small item is unacceptable.
I recently encountered an issue with an auction house, and the support team handled it with professionalism and efficiency. Their assistance was exceptional and helped resolve the situation fairly. The platform itself is user-friendly, reliable, and a fantastic way to engage in online auctions. I highly recommend their services for anyone interested in buying or selling at auctions.
I'm giving an extra star for the quick response I received to my follow-up email, which provided their perspective on the bidding process. They claim I bid on three items; for two, that's accurate, but for one, they recorded a significantly lower bid than what I made. I also didn't bid on a third item, yet they stated I had the winning bid. During the auction, which had over 800 items, the pace was rapid, but there were moments of confusion, especially with internet bids. I would hesitate to use this site again, as I might end up with items I didn't intend to bid on.
