Prepaid car rental – no car provided, no refund.
I booked and fully prepaid a rental through EconomyBookings (ref: EYYP5V-1Z0V4). When I arrived, the supplier refused to release the vehicle because I could not present a physical credit card. My wallet had been lost the week prior, however I had a valid digital card with available credit.
No service was provided, yet EconomyBookings retained 100% of the payment and refused a refund, relying on a ‘no-show’ policy.
This was not a failure to pay — the booking was already prepaid. Keeping the full amount despite providing no service is unreasonable.
Would not use again.
