When I first started with a school account, there were no distracting ads interrupting my lessons. However, after transitioning to a free personal account, ads have completely taken over my experience. Initially, the lessons were straightforward and easy to pass, allowing for five-star ratings. As I progressed, the requirements became increasingly unreasonable, demanding an 80 wpm speed with no mistakes just to pass lower-level lessons. I cannot recommend this typing platform, especially for younger users.
At first, when I was enrolled through a school, there were no distracting ads interrupting my lessons. However, after switching to a free personal account, ads have taken over my screen. The early lessons were easy and enjoyable, allowing me to earn five stars effortlessly. But as I progressed and improved my typing speed, the requirements became increasingly unreasonable. Despite having a high speed, I needed to achieve an 80 wpm rate with no mistakes just to pass a lower-level lesson. I cannot recommend this typing platform, particularly for younger users.
I am facing major issues with this platform. While working on my homework, I encounter an overwhelming amount of advertisements that distract me and lead to mistakes, forcing me to restart my assignments. I also frequently hear unexpected sounds from ads, which disrupt my focus. Since my school covers the cost of this service, I believe the learning experience should be free from intrusive ads and sudden noises. I hope this issue can be resolved.
As a 13-year-old with four years of typing experience, I aim for five stars on each lesson due to my fast typing speed. However, lesson 620 is filled with symbols and demands a speed of 69 wpm for five stars. If I have the chance, I won't attempt this again.
The platform impressed me initially for the first couple of months, but then it started giving me extremely low scores for decent performances. I received a score of 6 wpm despite having an accuracy of 93-96% at 21, 22, and 23 wpm. My initial enthusiasm quickly turned to frustration. It felt insulting, especially since my class received similarly low scores. The platform seems to prefer robotic typing, reminiscent of the flawed education system. Instead of engaging lessons, it feels like a repetitive drill.
If I had the option to give zero stars, I would. On my first day trying this typing service for my child, I was bombarded with ads everywhere, including inappropriate content. Thankfully, I was supervising closely. I will never use this again.
The initial lessons were okay and even enjoyable, but once I reached the harder lessons, the minimum wpm requirement was set at 42, with a need for 100% accuracy. As an experienced typist, I'm still struggling to achieve five stars, and I can't imagine how beginners would manage.
It's incredibly frustrating! At first, it was manageable, but as the difficulty increased, the minimum wpm requirement climbed to 43. I had to try countless times to reach that speed, and the target never adjusted. Although I'm not using the premium version, it doesn't track my progress, forcing me to remember where I left off each time. Additionally, it slows down if I type too quickly, which is counterproductive. If the aim is to type faster, the platform should support that goal, not hinder it.
