Following two unsuccessful attempts via email and WhatsApp to get an answer to my query I telephoned EDF today. Mark from 8E team couldn't have been more helpful. He looked into alternatives to choose a better energy tariff, worked out prices and compared them with previous bills. He explained the working of the new smart meter, the off peak correct times that I was unsure of and sent it all through on WhatsApp. I have changed tariffs today and now have a set budget to work with to cover the bills each month. A productive phone call all round.
