I just moved from OVO to EDF. I received several emails from EDF asking me for Smart Meter readings. I had no idea where these readings were and contacted the Help line and talked to Ian from Team 8B. He was very helpful and checked records and confirmed that EDF had already access to the meter readings and everything was in good order.
