I bought an original pressing of a classic album for £439 before any discounts. It was advertised as a one-owner copy in 'EX condition', claiming only a few light cosmetic scuffs that wouldn’t affect playback. I was eager to enjoy the record, but upon receiving it, I encountered constant crackling on every track. I contacted the support team and spoke with a representative who was helpful in arranging a prepaid return label and promised a replacement would be tested to meet the description provided. After returning the product, I patiently waited for a few days, understanding it was a busy time of year. A week later, I followed up on the replacement and was reassured that it was being processed. The next day, I unexpectedly received a refund without any explanation regarding the change from our initial agreement. I called customer service and spoke with a lady who mentioned that the team had just discussed my case and put me on hold. When she returned, she couldn't provide further details and said it was being handled by the same representative. I then emailed the representative, who eventually replied hours later, stating that the replacement was in the same condition, leading them to issue a refund instead. The handling of my situation has been incredibly disappointing. It feels unprofessional to issue a refund without prior discussion, effectively taking the decision away from me after such a long wait. To make matters worse, the product is still listed online with the same description.
