I am surprised that this company has such a high rating. BEWARE. I have probably a dozen Einhell tools of various sorts - hedge trimmers, garden multi function machines, leaf blowers, drills etc. I was attracted by the interchangability of the batteries. Generally, they are satisfactory light domestic machines. But, don't be misled by their so called warranty. I usually register my new machines to get the benefit of an extended 3 year warranty. By return, you will receive an email with the warranty for that machine. However, recently, I had to make a claim on a battery charger and a brand new and unused battery. The battery charger had been working satisfactorily for over a year before it failed. The battery never worked. BUT no! My claim under the warranties received was rejected by Einhell Customer Service - because I had not purchased these two items from a recognised Einhell dealer. So, if you are thinking of buying secondhand, or from an auction (where there seem to be many apparently new Einhell products) - BEWARE! Even though Einhell will register a warranty, they will not honour it. I think this is poor. It is possible they have a quality control problem but at the very least, they ought to prevent recognised dealers from selling their products elsewhere and insist they are returned to Einhell.Einhell's reply to my review proves my point! There is no suggestion that any of my products are not "authentic", that they have been in someway "mishandled" or that there is anything wrong with my proofs of purchase! These are pathetic excuses for avoiding the warranty. I note the Company remains silent on my point about preventing authorised dealers from disposing of surplus stock through channels not "authorised" rather than returning to Einhell. I think all this emphasises my warning. Think twice before choosing this company's products.
