My Electra cooker is only six months old. Requested an engineer visit in January when it was only weeks old. Food was left unfinished at top but charred underneath.Booked a gas engineer to look at it but an electrician arrived.He was unable to examine the cooker but rang his boss and booked an gas engineer to visit.No one came.After our sunday lunch was left charred underneath contacted electra again. Engineer has just been. The problem is caused by a design problem so cant be fixed.Contacted electra again just after he left.They wanted serial number and proof of purchase. Then after sending this I was offered £50.00 compensation but no replacement.Despite the fact that I was legally entitled for a replacement or refund they put every single obstacle in my way. First they needed the engineers report. Apparently this would take until tuesday at the earliest.They would get back to me in due course. From past experience I knew this was unlikely. Customer service of this company speak like robots, just the same spiel every time you talk with them.Off pat and never varies. I believed Electra were a reputable company. Believe me they are not !!Avoid like the plague.
