The most terrible experience I ever had with any airline. I am a Pakistani National, emirates website said I can apply for transit visa so I made a booking with long transit. Now emirates website says they have placed temporary ban on transit visa for Pakistani Nationals. I chatted with customer service and I first told them to cancel my booking with no charge, they denied. Then I said okay, change my booking to no transit with no charge they denied. But to top it all off, they didn't even try to resolve anything here, they didn't offer me any sympathy, didn't offer me any upgrade or anything just kept regurgitating the words it's policy. I paid £600 for one way as opposed to Qatar Airways the ticket for which was available for £320. Qatar airways have way better service, way better layover at doha airport, they offered me full refund once when I was in a pickle, they once offered me reduced price upgrade to business class too. Despite emirates website saying I can apply for transit visa through them and then saying you can't apply for transit, they didn't even try to resolve anything, they threw all the risks on me and kept compounded reward for themselves.
