On my return flight home from Kolkata to Dubai stop over, the Emirates website has no option for paying for extra baggage during online check in even though it mentions that passengers should do so to save money. The section was greyed out and unavailable.I ended up paying $270.00 Cad for one extra luggage at the Emirates counter during baggage drop off.I called Emirates customer service to complain and the representative said there is option because it’s a connecting flight from Kolkata.This makes no sense because on the way there i was able to pay only $100 Cad for an extra baggage on the Air Canada which is also a connecting flight. On top of that Emirates does not provide email or text updates regarding my online booking.Emirates has really bad customer service and I will never use this airline again.
