I was forced to use this company due to my husband’s health insurance policy change. Thankfully, they have come to their senses and realized that this is the most incompetent and horrific company anyone could possibly deal with, and we are parting ways. With that being said, the agents lack empathy, knowledge, and general intelligence. They deny claims just because they can. The majority of the agents lack the skills to run an order for a Happy Meal, let alone ensure confidence in their ability to adjust claims or make necessary overrides. They do not communicate via any kind of “secure portal”, they use a fax machine. This does not sit well with me, and it shouldn’t with anyone. This is not fully HIPAA compliant, as we cannot be sure who has access to a shared fax machine, whether it is in office or remote-at home. I have gone 3 months without a medication I have been on for 11 years because EmpiRX Health has stated they have not received information from my doctor. (I confirmed it was sent twice- by FAX). Here are my takeaways for anyone who takes regular medication, needs a high quality prescription plan & values great customer service:1. If you happen to be on a policy covered by an employer and EmpiRX is the provider, you may be better off paying out of pocket for your own policy. LOOK INTO THIS. The amount you’ll pay out of pocket for a couple prescriptions in the claims they deny will likely offset the difference if it is more expensive anyway.2. If you are looking into a plan using EmpiRX, RUN.
