I have to say to begin with I was really excited about empower, the meals looked great and the communication was great. Over time as others have commented, the communication lacked, foods I hated were added in week after week despite telling whoever the coach was that I didn’t like them. The answers were very generic and i couldn’t tell you who my coach was. I lost weight, but of course I did, they took me down to 1250 calories. For someone who’s got High activity levels this is dangerous. I was with them for 18 months. Yes I lost a lot of weight, and yes I learnt a lot but it’s all about calories and eating lots of fake foods with this coaching app. Yes I like chocolate but they made me question whether I had an eating disorder by the promotion of this. In fact I actually do just like a bit of chocolate - and that’s ok! I would say if you are someone with no gym experience it would be ok, or someone who doesn’t understand portion control. Your average person or someone with eating disorders should stay away. It’s a real shame whatever has happened to this business to start with it was great, I’d imagine because many of the coaches have left. I’m not sure if more personal issues have gotten in the way, but don’t think for one second Emma is the person coaching you, she’s an influencer who is a business woman making a lot of money and going on a lot of holidays. I would also say the marketing is misleading saying this is not a cookie cutter plan, if you want something not in the recipe bank, they’ll just tell you to skip a meal which isn’t very helpful!!
