Énergie Fitness has shown some extremely questionable business practices. Initially, they lure potential franchisees into signing one-sided, unfair agreements. However, once the contract is signed, their attitude towards franchisees drastically changes for the worse.They appear to exploit gyms for every bit of value, with little regard for the long-term success of the business. Current franchisees are reportedly unhappy, and many former franchisees have taken legal action against them. Mismanagement has led to the closure of at least 50 gyms in recent years, and the company has cycled through five CEOs.
