bought engine in Sept of 18. Within a week a major component failed. My mechanic said it should be covered/considered part of the engine block, engine-transmission claimed it was a blot on piece (not covered)A week ago I called because i was having severe motor problems. Despite a 5yr, 50k mile warranty being advertised everywhere, they told me i had no warranty because i never "activated" it. Mind you, within the 1st week I filed a claim against them for the failed part they claimed was "bolt on". Nothing in my email receipts or instructions said ANYTHING about having to activate a warranty. I talked to a few mechanics and, obviously, they never heard of such a thing either. Further, why wasn't my warranty "activated" once i filed my claim within 2 weeks of the motor being installed? They simply do not back up their advertisements, at all. Now i have a blown engine that lasted me only 1 and 1/2 years.
